The Microfibre

    Data Portal

A pivotal tool for scaling research into the root causes of fibre fragmentation to support greater data analysis and dissemination of learnings across the industry.

How it works:

Signatories of The Microfibre 2030 Commitment upload material specification information to The Microfibre Data Portal.

Test results for the materials are uploaded by the accredited laboratory performing the test.

Results are analysed by the TMC research team and compared to the wider Microfibre Data Portal industry averages.

There are currently over 1,500 tested fabrics in The Microfibre Data Portal!

The analysis of test results accelerates the root cause understanding of fibre fragmentation from textiles, by applying topic specific data and expert analysis to identify outputs such as hypotheses, indications, trends or statements based on the confidence level of the data.
