Sophie Mather

CO-FOUNDER

Recognising the emerging risk of microfibre shedding as early as 2016, Sophie Mather co-founded The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) in 2018 to lead the global response in uniting science and industry to mitigate fibre fragmentation at its source.

  • The Advisory Group provides strategic guidance to the team and the Technical Committee on issues including, but not limited to; The roadmap, programme of activity, funding, and the championing of industry engagement efforts. This group intentionally covers a diverse range of organisational types and expertise to ensure the direction and ultimate outputs of The Microfibre Roadmap embrace cross-industry needs.

  • The Technical Committee provides technical guidance to the TMC Research team and the Advisory Group. This group of subject matter experts directs and coordinates the topic research agenda and technical credibility of knowledge dissemination.
